Run for Better Health: Esther Bunny Women’s Run Presented by ATiRA Concludes at Laguna Grove, in Laguna Phuket. Raising money for Breast Cancer Awareness and Bringing Community Together.
Phuket, 12 September 2022: The inaugural two-day Esther Bunny Women’s Run Presented by ATiRA charity event in support of breast cancer awareness took place at Laguna Grove in Phuket on 10-11 September 2022 raising money that will be donated to the Ramathibodi Foundation in Bangkok and their Breast Cancer Project.
A partnership between ATiRA marketplace (headline sponsor), RED CAP Organizer, and Southeast Asia’s first integrated resort destination ลากูน่า ภูเก็ต (venue sponsor), the community event welcomed 2,244 female runners who came together to raise money for life-saving breast cancer research and care for Thais living with breast cancer.
With distances ranging from 5K to half-marathon, Esther Bunny Women’s Run Presented by ATiRA welcomed both first-timers and more experienced runners who raced for the top prize on the second day of the event, with spectators cheering for their loved ones as they aimed for the finish line.
Koy Rachwin, Ambassador of Esther Bunny Women’s Run Presented by ATiRA, said about the event:” It is an honour to be here today at the launch of Esther Bunny Women’s Run Presented by ATiRA Seeing all these amazing women come out in force to show support for breast cancer victims reminded everyone just how much positive change can be achieved when women act together to move the needle on things that matter. On behalf of all the sponsors and organisers, I would like to thank the wonderful racers who made this event a success.”
In addition to committing THB 100 of every registration fee and 100% of all VIP ticket sales to the breast cancer cause, a total of THB 24,000 was also raised by a group of 120 Laguna Phuket associates to support the ongoing sustainability projects managed by Laguna Phuket Foundation.
The event’s charismatic mascot, Esther Bunny, is a character created by Esther Kim, a Korean-American artist who also designed the instantly-recognisable logo for the race. Popular Thai actress Koy Rachwin Wongviriya lent her celebrity to promote the event on her social media channels, highlighting how empowering women through events that combine fun, health and charity can be utilised for the common good and community wellbeing.
