Laguna Phuket Unveils the Wishing Tree, An Artistic Installation Reflecting the Essence of Sustainability
Laguna Phuket is excited to unveil the captivating Wishing Tree installation, which combines local artistry with innovative design to enhance the experience for all visitors. This installation is inspired by local artisans’ craftsmanship and the appeal of spontaneous structures. Using sustainable material, it creates a stunning, Instagram-worthy spot that enriches the experience for every visitor.
This installation, constructed from more than 700 bamboo shoots, represents the culmination of a three-month-long Corporate Social Responsibility (CSP) initiative spearheaded by the Central Landscape Division. It embodies creativity, innovation, and the clever application of design solutions. Aimed at igniting curiosity, the installation encourages visitors to explore the harmonious blend of beauty, functionality, and environmental responsibility, which is a fundamental aspect of Laguna Phuket’s sustainability objectives.
Kraithera Lolurlert, Director of Central Landscape at Laguna Phuket, states: “Our initiative for sustainability at the destination is driven by a desire to cultivate environmentally conscious practices and inspire creativity. We aim to engage visitors by presenting installations that stimulate thought and encourage sustainable practices. We believe that this extraordinary installation will prompt the visitor to reflect on their environmental action and take steps to reduce their carbon footprint, contributing to our collective journey towards sustainability.”
When viewed from a specific angle, the Wishing Tree installation resembles three trees, with heights measuring 6 meters, 5 meters, and 4 meters. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the installation has been designed to enhance visitors’ comfort by providing shade. This allows visitors to unwind and relax while enjoying the serene atmosphere. The installation will be available from 20 December 2024 to 30 April 2025.
To further enhance the visitor experience, Laguna Phuket will launch a SNAP & WIN social media contest encouraging visitors to share creative photos or videos featuring the Wishing Tree installation. Participants will have the opportunity to win dining and spa vouchers valued at over THB 50,000, courtesy of Angsana Laguna Phuket, Banyan Tree Phuket, Cassia Phuket, Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket, Homm Suites Laguna, SAii Laguna Phuket, and Open Kitchen.

Selection of Winners
- The winners will be announced after 7 working days once the SNAP & WIN contest is closed via our official social media account.
- The winners will be contacted via direct messages through applicable social media platforms that were used to join the SNAP & WIN contest.
- The winners who receive direct messages from Laguna Phuket’s official Facebook or Instagram account must respond within three (3) working days, failing which, the next shortlisted post will be selected as the next winner.
- Participants who complete all the steps correctly will be chosen as winners based on the most creative submission.
Prize Fulfilment
- If any winner fails to respond to the direct messages on social media received from Laguna Phuket for delivery of their prize within three (3) working days upon being notified, another winner will be selected as a replacement.
- Each Winner is only entitled to win one (1) Prize.
